{"id":1290,"date":"2013-12-06T11:37:58","date_gmt":"2013-12-06T16:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.beautyterm.com\/?p=1290"},"modified":"2020-01-16T14:07:21","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T19:07:21","slug":"november-december-news-language-management-strategies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beautyterm.com\/fr\/november-december-news-language-management-strategies\/","title":{"rendered":"LANGUAGE MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Doing business in a different language&#8230; The barriers that European SMEs face when exporting abroad are often related to the quality and effectiveness of their communication.\u00a0Two studies conducted in Europe have found that\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>success in international trade is linked to developing effective language management strategies(LMS)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"Elan Survey\" href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/languages\/pdf\/doc421_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ELAN Survey<\/a> (2006) concluded that higher performance in international trade is associated with four factors, one of which has to do with the company&#8217;s approach to language issues in new markets.<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">The <a title=\"Pimlico Report\" href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/languages\/languages-mean-business\/files\/pimlico-full-report_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PIMLICO Report<\/a>\u00a0(2011) found that\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #cc0001;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">41% of European SMEs experienced a significant increase in their turnover (more than 25%) after implementing measures to ensure effective and proficient multi-language communication<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beautyterm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/percentage-increase.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1294\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beautyterm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/percentage-increase.jpg\" alt=\"percentage increase\" width=\"350\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/beautyterm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/percentage-increase.jpg 350w, https:\/\/beautyterm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/percentage-increase-300x242.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">A significant amount of business is also being lost as a result of lacking language skills.
